Milestone AV Technologies, a leading global provider of innovative mounting and display solutions, and SurgeX, the leader in energy intelligence and premium AC power conditioning products, announce an exciting new partnership.
The two companies are developing a new line of power protected infrastructure solutions exclusive to the Chief brand. Beyond simplified, one-SKU ordering, bringing power integration to the AV side of the install increases revenue opportunities for dealers.
“This is a great strategic partnership that has allowed us to bring powered options to Chief’s storage solutions. I love the pairing of these two companies that are experts in their AV fields coming together to make life easier for our customers,” said Gina Schneider, Product Manager at Chief. “By integrating SurgeX’s technology we are able to simplify installations while providing an unmatched level of protection. It just makes sense.”
This initial offering combines SurgeX’s non-sacrificial surge protection technology, power and filtering with six Chief products, including the popular new in-wall and above-ceiling storage solutions, and two suspended ceiling kits.
“By integrating our non-sacrificial surge protection and noise filtration into a form factor fit for storage solutions, Chief has created one of the most convenient and low-profile power protection solutions available,” said Shannon Townley, President, SurgeX. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with such an innovative partner and recognize the tremendous potential for this product in both the AV space and elsewhere.”
Chief has long had a close relationship with SurgeX – the provider of its non-sacrificial rack accessories. This new partnership deepens the connection between the two companies and opens the potential for new solutions that span the Milestone family of brands.
“SurgeX is a well respected brand and company within the AV industry with a reputation for technology, innovation and quality,” said Steve Durkee, President of Commercial Products at Milestone. “We’re excited to be partnering with them and look forward to jointly developing new ways to improve our customers’ integration experiences.”
The new line of powered infrastructure solutions will be available in the U.S. and Canada, and can be seen at InfoComm, Chief booth 3312.
