LONG BEACH, Calif. – June 2, 2015 – Epson, the number-one selling projector brand worldwide1, has selected three winners of the “Epson BrightLink Projector Teacher Contest.” Each winner will receive an Epson BrightLink 595Wi finger-touch interactive projector for their classroom.
The contest, which asked educators in K-12 and post-secondary schools to share their creative ideas for using an interactive projector in the classroom, garnered almost 450 responses. Winners were chosen based on their ability to describe unique uses of an interactive projector in the classroom, the practicality of implementing their ideas using real-life examples, and the impact of these ideas on students’ learning experiences.
The winning entries suggested using the Epson BrightLink 595Wi projector to upgrade the school’s designated “maker space,” design underwater robots with students, and create and market new product packaging prototypes. “We received a wide of range of creative ideas, which really shows the versatility of using the BrightLink 595Wi to help students learn,” said Tom Piche, product manager for Epson K-12 Interactive Projectors. “We look forward to seeing our winners’ ideas come to life in the coming months and thank all of the educators who shared their ideas with us.”

Color Brightness Specification and Projector Performance
The color brightness specification (measuring red, green and blue) published by the Society of Information Display (SID) allows consumers to compare projector color performance without conducting a side-by-side shootout. With today’s high definition content, teachers and students can display content with higher quality in brighter environments. For a truly impressive image, projectors need to offer both high color brightness and high white brightness. High color brightness is important for larger screen sizes and provides flexibility for a variety of screen materials. Without sufficient color brightness, images may be muddy, soft and lose detail, even in a dark room. For more information, visit http://www.colorlightoutput.com.
