LG OLED TV - What is OLED Technology?

“OLED” stands for Organic Light-Emitting Diode, a special layer inside the TV that glows when an electric current is introduced, so there’s no need for a backlight as in traditional LED TVs. This game-changing design drastically reduces the weight of the LG OLED TV, and it’s only 4.5mm thick at its thinnest point, as thin as a pencil!
